Emmanuel sat on the idea to create Alter Ego for about three years. The fear of the unknown kept him from taking the risk. Then 2020 changed lives all over the world and he stopped making excuses and decided to take the risk.
Growing up, Emmanuel has always been into fashion, especially sneakers. To him and others in his community, the sneakers made the outfit. This brand is a reflection for his love of colors and fashion. The meaning behind the brand, the "Alter Ego" is another story.
Emmanuel was always one of the popular kids in school. He was very athletic, earning a Division-I track & field scholarship. In school, being popular and athletic came with certain assumptions. Emmanuel had to play the role of the popular jock, into sports and everything deemed "cool." But Emmanuel had an alter ego. He was into athletics and was cool, but he was also into anime, Pokémon cards, cartoons, and Yu-Gi-Oh. Feeling the pressure to be "cool," for years, he hid this side from his peers. Alter Ego is more than a brand. It's an expression and a reminder that Everybodys Got One and to embrace it fully.
